First things first, how did he propose?

What I thought was a weekend to the mountains with friends, turned out to be a lot more than that. Keegan proposed at my families cabin in Breckenridge, Colorado. It was lightly snowing, he had put up twinkle lights along the deck railing, hung pictures of us all around and even surprised me with our families being there. He thought through every detail perfectly and I felt so loved. It was the easiest yes of my life!

What was the most memorable moment?

There were so many moments that were so sweet to me for different reasons… But there was a moment at the beginning of the reception that I will always remember. Keegan and I were sitting at the head table, and I remember looking around our table and around the room at all of the people there. Friends and family from all over the country had traveled to celebrate with Keegan and I. The room was buzzing with conversation, twinkling from the fire and candles and everyone just looked SO happy. I felt so loved and special in that moment, that every person in the room thought we were important enough to spend their evening with us. It was such a sweet moment to sit in and savor.

What does marriage mean to you?

Marriage to me means a lifetime of knowing you will always have a team mate no matter what is happening in either of your lives. It’s the promise that they will always be there to encourage you, love you and fight for you (and with you sometimes) through the ups and downs of life. It’s a lifetime of working with your best friend to make each other better and draw each other closer to Jesus.
